Terms
The rules for using My Life RN, written to be read in a break room, not a courtroom.
Last updated October 11, 2026
Draft. This page is written in plain language and describes how the app works today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before launch.
The short version
- Free while we test. Nothing is ever charged unless you choose to pay.
- Your board, issuer, and employer have the official records. Double-check with them.
- Estimates and wellness tools are helpers, not payroll, legal, or medical advice.
- No patient information. Be kind to coworkers' privacy.
- Your data is yours. Download or delete it any time.
1.The deal
My Life RN helps nurses keep their shifts, certs, pay, and sleep in one place. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2.Free while we test
The app is new and in testing. Everything is free right now. Some features are marked Pro and will cost money later. We'll tell you the price in the app before anything is charged, and nothing is ever charged without you choosing to pay. People who join during testing are founding members, and founding members get 50% off Pro for life.
Because it's new, things may change, break, or move. Keep your own copies of anything critical, like your actual cert cards.
3.Helpful, not official
- Certs and licenses. Expiration dates and reminders are only as accurate as what you enter or scan. Your board, issuer, and employer have the official record. Always check with them.
- Pay. Paycheck estimates are math on the numbers you enter. They are not payroll, tax, or legal advice, and your employer's pay stub is the official record.
- Self-care. Sleep and mood tools are general wellness aids, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Schedules and swaps. The app helps you plan and ask. Your manager and your employer's scheduling system decide what is official. A swap agreed in the app is not approved until your manager approves it.
- Classes and CEUs. Listings are for convenience. Check details with the provider.
4.Your stuff is yours
You own what you add. You give us permission to store it and show it to you (and to the people you choose to share with) only so we can run the app. You can download or delete it any time from Me → Your data.
5.Please don't
- Enter patient information or anything covered by HIPAA.
- Add someone else's personal phone number to My Unit without their OK.
- Use someone else's account, or invite people who don't want to hear from you.
- Upload anything illegal, or files that aren't yours to share.
- Try to break, overload, scrape, or get around the security of the app.
6.Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password safe. You can close your account any time from Me → Your data. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk, and we'll tell you why when we can.
7.No guarantees
We work hard to keep the app accurate and available, but it is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed renewal or a pay difference, from using the app.
8.Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the last edit.
A contact address for privacy questions will be listed here before launch.
